I'm so very sorry to hear about Macro's passing. His son Parker (or Parker Pea Pod to us) was the most sweetest and biddable dog you could ever wish to meet. I can never recall a single moment when he was told off, Macro's son indeed. Thank you for sharing Macro's genes with the world.

Dear Becky!

My name is Caroline Crafoord (Wiberg as married) i live in Sweden. Long, long ago I came to live and work at your mother and father's (Shirley and Peter) kennels with Flatcoated retrivers.

I think you were about 8 or 9 years old. You hade a brother called Timothy. You then lived at Shardelows Farm and you hade a lovely old pony called Misty. I don't know if you or Shirley or Peter remembers me. When I went home I had a very speciall liver Flat-coat with me called Flicka. Peter and Shirley also came to Sweden several times to judge at our field-trials and shows. I also took a Flat-coat bitch to Sweden for Gunnel Wahlström in the north of Sweden.

I think of you and my time in England and all the lovely dogs and horses I got to know. I found you on the Internet and just had to write. I live now in the north of Sweden at a farm called Meadow Ranch. Two years a go we had a small riding school and cross-country riding tours. We had also "proper jobs" and it all got a bit to much. So now we only rent out stables and have our own 3 horses, they are retired. We, my husband and I are getting on and the aches and pains are coming rapidly. He is 60 years and i will be 60 this autum.We have 3 dogs, 2 mixed breeds and 1 border collie. We used to have a lovely Donkey, two goats, cats and chickens. Well, now i have to stop, before you got bored. Perhaps you don't even remember me.

Hi Becky I loved your website, especially the history. The history was so interesting, with a nice touch of humour. We too love the Riversflight dogs, but Jean Griffiths would never export a dog if it required a flight.

I have loved reading the history and in 1978 we collected a Downstream Fiddler x Victoria of Downstream pup called Downstream Whinberry who was later mated to Downstream Nimble. I still have an old piece of cinefilm of Peter and Shirley working them at Cowlinge. This started my love of the breed and currently have Quinn - Downstream Double First.
